Sound Control Technologies RCU2S-LMU USB 2.0 Extension Kit for Logitech MeetUp

Product Overview

The Sound Control Technologies RCU2S-LMU is a USB 2.0 camera extension kit designed for the Logitech MeetUp conference camera. It extends USB 2.0/UVC video, bi-directional audio, and 5V/12V camera power up to 300 feet over a single CAT cable, enabling the Logitech MeetUp to be placed at distance from a rack-mounted codec or host system. The LMU cable kit is matched to the Logitech MeetUp USB interface. This is the purpose-built SCT solution for AV integrators deploying the Logitech MeetUp in conference rooms and huddle rooms where the device needs to reach a rack or host at extended cable distance.

Product Description

The RCU2S-LMU places a Head End (HE) unit at the codec or USB host and a Camera End (CE) unit at the Logitech MeetUp mounting location. A single CAT5e or CAT6 cable run between these units carries USB 2.0/UVC video, bi-directional audio, and 5V/12V camera power. The LMU cable kit provides the specific USB connection matched to the Logitech MeetUp. Power delivery at the camera end supports 5V and 12V DC, so no separate power supply is needed at the MeetUp mounting location.

The bi-directional audio channel supports the Logitech MeetUp’s integrated beamforming microphone and speaker audio over the extension run. UVC compliance ensures the Logitech MeetUp is recognized as a standard USB video device on any USB 2.0 host without proprietary drivers compatible with Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, Cisco, Poly, and BYOD/BYOM conference platforms. The single-cable approach simplifies installation in rooms where the Logitech MeetUp is at the display or table and the host is rack-mounted at distance.
