Sonance VP52R UTL Ultra Thin-Line In-Ceiling Speaker

Product Overview

The Sonance VP52R UTL is an ultra-thin in-ceiling speaker from the Visual Performance Series, built for integrators working in ceiling cavities too shallow for a standard in-ceiling speaker. Sold as a pair, it targets renovation and light-gauge steel or low-clearance ceiling applications where depth is the limiting factor.

Product Description

The VP52R UTL pairs a 5.25″ polypropylene cone woofer with a Ferrofluid-cooled 1″ cloth dome tweeter in a chassis that mounts in just 1.4375″ (36.2mm) of depth, making it one of the shallower in-ceiling options for jobs where joists, ductwork, or a shallow drop ceiling limit available space. A low-profile, paintable perforated steel grille keeps the finished appearance clean, and an optional square adapter is available for projects that need to convert a round cutout to a square trim. Because the low-profile design trades some cabinet volume for depth savings, it is best specified for background and secondary listening zones rather than a primary home theater channel. Integrators building a whole-home Sonance system can pair the VP52R UTL with other in-ceiling speakers in rooms with standard ceiling depth, reserving the ultra-thin model for the specific locations that need it. Visual Performance Series products carry a limited lifetime warranty when purchased through an authorized dealer.
